My real name is Esther Lily Cruz. I was named after my Mom since she was not able to think of what name to give the new baby (me!) so, she just used her own name. She wants me to put Jr. to my name but truly it does not work with girls.

I was born in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. When I was about 10 years old we moved to the Consular Area of Fort William McKinley. Our neighbors were the good looking ones like the Duncas, Adan, Maulits, Masongsongs, Dimals, Fernandezes, Rodriguez, and of course the well known Maravillas.

I am the 6th of seven children namely: Cito, Sunny, Benny, Louella, Carmena and our youngest Luther. It was just me and Luther who attended the Post Elementary School. We were all involved with Post Evangelical Chapel together with the Bulfas, Resuses, Gauranos and Santos. As a group we have been meeting since the 70's so we have been really keeping up with the friendship and camaraderie.

I graduated from the Central Philippine University in Iloilo, where Boy Fragante is now residing. I moved to Oceanside, California, just when we had the Anaheim Reunion last February, to be with my Mom and Louella ... so, I am now a California girl. You have noticed that I made no mention of a husband ...he, he, he ... yes, I am still single at the age of 54 but I am happy, I have a good life, and am enjoying my blessed singleness. To keep myself occupied, I have been working as an Activity Coordinator for seniors for almost 8 years when I was still in Chicago and also when I was in Virginia.

Allow me to share two of my photographs ... The first photo on the left was taken at the home of my brother Cito in Virginia where he has a cherry blossom tree. The other photo on the right was taken during the 2005 Christmas Season and shows me and my mom (Mommy Cruz).
